Shirakawago, Japan pre-wedding | Alice and Kent

Japan, is truly the best country with a balance between tradition and culture mixed with the new and modern. We have been to Japan several times for assignments, but this time around we had the chance to shoot in Shirakawa-go.

Shirakawa-go ( 白川郷 "white river old-district" ) is one of unesco's world heritage sites built in the middle of 19th century located in northwest part of gifu perfection, central of Japan. A step back in time to tell a Love Story in remote fairy tale locations. Traditional thatched gassho-zukuri style farmhouses & rice fields, a rustic and lovely setting draped with the gentle spring mist.

We had the opportunity to shoot during Autumn and the colours are gorgeous!
