Pre Wedding Film in Yunnan, China | Serene & Seow Xuan
Shangri-La, the "Eden in dream".
Over the years, we have seen beautiful places across the globe for different assignments. But there isn't one quite like Shangri-La. When being asked how was the trip to Shangri-La, our crew tried finding the best words to describe but only left speechless in amusement.
Since it first appeared in British novelist James Hilton's Lost Horizon, Shagri-La has gained its name worldwide as a mysterious place which could not possibly exist on earth. In Tibetan, Shangri-La means the "sun and moon in heart", an ideal home only found in heaven.
We were in awe overlooking continuous snowy mountains, endless grasslands, lakes and villages. But this holy place is not easy to be accessed at all.
At an average altitude of more than 3,000 meters, the county is very difficult to be reached. Transportation involves long travelling by flight and bus ride. We have thought that Serene and Seow Xuan would be exhausted as we arrived. But surprisingly, the love birds were enjoying every tiny bids of the journey. They support each other in times when the ride went rough.
Well, looks like we have got to agree with the saying of,
"Love doesn't make the world go 'round. Love is what makes the ride worthwhile."
